Picture if I had a nuclear bomb that was about to go off. I told you the ONLY way to prevent if from going off was to sodomize your subsequent door neighbor. Picture if I already drugged him and his pants and underwear were pulled down and a box of condoms was proper by him, along with some lube.
I say you should sodomize his drugged, drooling body for fifteen minutes (if you are a woman, I will give a strap on). If you refuse, the nuclear bomb goes off?
What would a Christian do? They would not sodomize him simply because homosexuality and rape are incorrect. They would do the appropriate thing even if it resulted in the deaths of billions.

So ancient beliefs cherry picked in a collection brief stories from the bronze ages is more important than the life of ‘billions’ ?
I don’t feel it is the atheists who should be mentioned in the identical sentence as ‘moral bankruptcy’.

This is bulls. What you are actually talking about is consequentalist vs deontological moral reasoning. Christianity sets out imperatives that must be followed but I can think of christians who wouldn’t do as you say and would do the other right thing which is to save lives.
